The Babar Azam-led Karachi team loses for the sixth time in the PSL this season, as Peshawar wins for the third time.
At the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Peshawar Zalmi trounced Karachi Kings by 55 runs in a one-sided encounter of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2022, as the Babar Azam-led squad suffered their sixth consecutive loss of the present season.
The Kings didn't get off to a good start when chasing a large 194-run mark, as they lost their aggressive opener, Sharjeel Khan, for 14 runs with 25 runs on the board.
Babar and Joe Clarke put up a 55-run second-wicket stand, but Clarke was removed in 13.2 overs as the necessary run rate continued to rise.
Only Babar managed to score 59 runs off 46 balls, but he took too many dot balls, and no other hitter was able to play a large inning.
Wahab Riaz and Salman Irshad each took two wickets.
After being selected to bat first by Karachi Kings skipper Babar Azam in the 19th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2022 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Peshawar Zalmi scored a massive 193-run total for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs.
