Members of the COVID-19 task force, the Sindh Health Department, and coronavirus specialists were expected to attend the meeting to discuss the current situation in the city, according to sources.
Separately, CM Shah stated in a press conference in Karachi that the decision to impose a lockdown and suspend educational institutions will be made in accordance with the NCOC's recommendations.
The coronavirus infections were spreading quickly, but the situation was under control, according to CM Shah, because hospitalizations and patients in intensive care units (ICU) in the port city were low.
Booster dose:
As the Omicron variety spreads across the country, the NCOC declared that all individuals over the age of 18 can obtain a coronavirus vaccine booster shot.
After a six-month delay from when their immunisation was finished, consumers will receive a free booster dosage.
